Cheap Contactors Cost More: Why I'll Pay for Delivery Certainty on ABB Contactors
I'd rather pay $50 extra for an ABB contactor with guaranteed delivery than save $50 on one that "should arrive by Friday."
That sentence would have sounded ridiculous to me in 2020. Back then, I was the administrative buyer who hunted for the lowest quote, tracked every line item in a spreadsheet, and reported savings to my manager like they were trophies. Look, I sign the purchase orders around here. I'm the one who has to call a maintenance lead and admit the "guaranteed" part wasn't actually in stock, or that the delivery date slipped.
